With tens of thousands of pages of content published on the internet, BNI has a very strong presence. As a result, our SEO is very strong and search results on Google (and other search engines) quite often display chapter and member profiles as the top results in search queries.
Occasionally, the information displayed in the results of the Google search can be incorrect or misleading. This is due to the way that Google crawls and stores the information in offline caches that can sometimes be outdated. However, Google is an independent company and unfortunately, we have very little control over their content or process.
That said, there are steps to take if your information is not correct, or if you wish for it to be removed completely.
Scenario: The information is updated in BNI Connect, but is incorrect on the Google search results.
In this case, you can request that Google re-crawl the site in order to refresh their cached content. Here is the link to do that:
