@dave - Thank you for the suggestion. This is on our master list of feature requests for future discussion and consideration. We will add your request as a "vote" for prioritization. Hope this helps and have a great weekend!

Great idea. I. Person meetings lead to better networking and referral opportunities.

BNI Melbourne Central Australia needs to add a vote or even 5 for having more hybrid options. We have 5 chapters that have permanently chosen the hybrid option. None of them are the first meeting of the month in person so currently this setting is not suitable, and we have had to develop workarounds. Our work arounds still cause confusion and miscommunication for visitors so we would be very grateful if the changes were made as soon as possible.
Thanks!3 -
This question has been posed quite a few times for quite a while. I'm surprised we don't have a solution yet to allow more flexibility. This shouldn't be so difficult. I'm certain if we can't open up to every other week in person, we'll be losing some people and continue struggling to get the right ones to join our group. Following.

@Geremy Walsh this has now been an ongoing issues for 2 years and has been confirmed it is not on the development teams list.
I have personally emailed you of which it was diverted back to the Australian director Frederick. I met with Frederick and he has mentioned that my concerns were forwarded to BNI. The support teams have confirmed NO note in the roadmap after two years of requests on here, emails and discussions with our Exec Director (and Carlie BNI Melb Central Support), Australia Director who will s also a member of the global innovation team. It was mentioned this wasn’t something that couldn’t be done but something that had been done on purpose. This is concerning given the impact on BNI groups across ANZ, including its a concern given that the academic implementation of Hybrid was for flexibility, reach and engagement from global communities. BNI by not supporting flexibility with a Hybrid model are working against the very nature of a model supporting human connection. BNI chapters are running hybrid but the BNI system is reflecting misinformation information about how groups run as there isn’t a choice for groups to properly represent themselves. This is a confusion to visiting members and causing reputation damage of groups and BNI as a whole.
Could you please allow chapters to specify which weeks are in person and which weeks are Virtual OR in the meantime allow HYBRID to be the meeting option so BNI members and public have to refer to the chapter’s subpage. We have people tuning up to the venue when we are virtual and email for links when we are in person.
2 years is 2 long on this issue!

I see the mobile app meetings calendar already has red dots marking for in person meetings, and green dots for online meetings. This is visible upon registering a visitor. Problem is that these meeting colored dots are not correctly assigned. Where in Connect can we assign and register them? Currently we have in person meetings on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month, and virtual meetings the rest of the weeks, but the calendar is not reflecting this. This also affects the welcome email a registered visitor receives, indicating (in our case) a virtual link instead of the physical address when in person meetings, which is of course misleading. Is this configuration feature already implemented and I dont have the privilege to edit it? I'm VP of my chapter (BNI LCS Summum, in Lima, Peru)

Sr. Orazio Parodi - this is the issue that we are raising with BNI as we have had the issue, you're talking about for 2+ years now. We have raised the issue with our Executive Director (the area that you pay your fees too) and the BNI Regional Director for Australia. There is NO ability to assign outside of the following formats:
1. In Person 100%
2. Virtual 100%
3. Hybrid - BNI forces one option of the 1st week of the month In-Person, and all other meetings VirtualThis Hybrid restriction has confused visitors and other BNI members locally and even from overseas. The concept of Hybrid is to allow flexibility of In-Person and Virtual events in whatever format suits the needs of a group. I highly recommend that you and the President raise this issue with your Executive Director and have them raise the issue with your BNI Country Director. Don't give up, this issue needs to be acknowledged and put on the roadmap to be fixed by the BNI Global Member Experience Team or whoever has made the barking mad decision to put this restriction into the Hybrid BNI schedule. From Australia to Peru we feel your pain!
