Visitor Registration
I had registered a visitor, and when they tried to join the meeting a couple weeks ago, they got an error message that Safari couldn't open the page. Inviting visitors is the most difficult part of BNI, so to have a more streamlined process would be highly beneficial to our visitor attendance success rate. For instance, BNI may be able to have a company like Virtual Assistance Professionals (Leilani Filipanko) in my chapter, work with BNI and zoom software to connect the registration so if a visitor registers in BNI, the system on the back end automatically registers the visitor for the Zoom meeting for that same day, then sends one email to the visitor to join the meeting via the Zoom link. I know that I had a difficult time joining as a visitor, and most of my visitors have a difficult time joining meetings, so I have a small success rate due to the current registration process. Having a one step process would be a great improvement over the current registration process. Like currently the visitor has to register for BNI meetings (if we don’t register them ourselves), then the visitor has to register for the zoom meeting (2nd registration), and then they finally get the link to join the zoom meeting after that. So they have to click on 2 to 3 different links to get to our chapter zoom meeting. I wonder if Leilani or some other IT company could help streamline this process for visitors behind the scenes, so that visitors only get one link to join the zoom meeting. I suggested this to BNIConnect Administrator and Worldwide Support, and Riyaz Haji Mahendy recommended that I post the suggestion here:
Having said that, there is a online link embedded in the visitor registration email notification.
Some chapters prefer to have a direct link, so the visitor clicks on it and gets in. Whereas some chapters do have their link via a Register in Zoom itself - and this is up to the chapter and has not been standardized.
A reason could be, while chapters welcome visitors, some are being picky - especially when their chapter is large, like > 75 - 100 members, hence they screen their visitors prior to allowing them to join the meeting.
In any case, do submit your suggestion in the Forum and it will be reviewed.
We thank you for your observation and suggestion.
Thank you with warm regards.

@brittani - thank you very much for the feedback. As Riyaz stated, if the chapter has the zoom meeting link (whether it is a meeting link directly, or registration) it should be integrated into the email communications that are received when they are registered for the BNI meeting.
That said, we will take your feedback into consideration and review the process for possibilities to streamline it further.

Hi Brittani,
This suggestion is great. Just adding to what Riyaz commented.
Zoom requires paid accounts for the integration to take place. However, these accounts are separately maintained & paid by chapters. Having to require all chapters to adhere the rules & put that into practice is no easy task.
Some chapters don't use Zoom. They opt to use other platforms like Microsoft Team. So streamlining that is an option. Still, it is good to have that in place as an option.
Cheers.
