Feature Request: Itemised "TYFCB Given" report to see who has recorded a thank-you slip
Currently, the "TYFCB Given" field in BNI Connect shows only a cumulative amount, with no breakdown of which members recorded a Thank You For Closed Business slip for the business I passed to them.
The problem:
When I give business to fellow members, I have no way to verify whether they have logged the corresponding TYFCB slip. Without a breakdown, it is impossible to reconcile the total or identify who has not yet recorded a slip, so I can't politely remind them to do so. This leads to under-reported chapter numbers and undercounts the value BNI is generating.
Proposed solution:
Add an itemised "TYFCB Given" report, visible only to the giver, that lists each slip recorded in their name, showing the member who recorded it, the date, and the amount.
Why this doesn't compromise privacy:
I understand the concern about disclosing what members earn or charge. However, in this case the giver is the person who paid for the business, so they already know who they paid and how much. The report would only show the giver information they already hold, and nothing would be visible to anyone else. If showing amounts is still a concern, even a simple list of member names and dates (without amounts) would solve the reconciliation problem.
Benefits:
- Members can reconcile business given against slips recorded
- Easier, friendly follow-ups to ensure slips are logged
- More accurate TYFCB data at chapter, region, and national level
