Feature Request: Improve TYFCB Amount Entry Accuracy
Dear BNI Global Connect Support Team,
I would like to suggest an enhancement to the TYFCB (Thank You for Closed Business) amount entry field in BNI Connect, particularly to improve accuracy for countries using currencies with large numerical values, such as Vietnam.
Currently, TYFCB amounts may contain many digits and zeros. For example:
1000000000 VND
Without digit grouping or a clear visual separator, the amount can easily be misread or entered incorrectly as 100 million, 1 billion, or 10 billion VND. This creates a risk of data-entry errors that may not be noticed before submission and can affect Chapter, Regional, and National TYFCB statistics.
Could BNI Global consider adding the following features?
-
Automatic digit grouping while entering the amount
For example:1,000,000,000instead of1000000000 -
Automatic conversion of the entered amount into words
After the amount is entered, the system could automatically display the amount in words as a confirmation. For example:
1,000,000,000 VND — One Billion Vietnamese DongThis would help Members verify that the numerical amount they entered is correct before submitting it.
-
Confirmation for unusually large amounts
If an entered TYFCB amount is significantly higher than normal, BNI Connect could ask the Member to confirm the amount before submission.
These small UI/UX improvements could significantly reduce accidental TYFCB entry errors, especially in countries where normal business transactions may involve amounts with many digits.
They would also improve the accuracy and reliability of TYFCB data used for Chapter, Regional, National, and Global reporting.
Thank you very much for considering this suggestion. I hope it can be reviewed as a potential enhancement for BNI Connect.
