Local Time Zone on calendar events is critical
When creating an event in BNI Connect, the time zone can be specified for start and end times. However, the time zone data is not shown on regional websites once the event is published. This is a huge problem when event creators don't specify in the event description what time zone the event is in. Events created in Eastern time often have users arrive 1, 2, or 3 hours late to events (not acceptable).
Even when looking at the events area in BNI Connect itself, the event's time doesn't reflect a time zone unless you click the event to see the full details of the event (even then the end-user still has to calculate time-zone math to get it into their schedule correctly).
What would be ideal is that when viewing any event on a region's website events page, the event start time would reflect the local time of the viewer.
This would eliminate the requirement of the event creator to specify in the event description the time zone math, and eliminate the requirement for the end-user to perform any time zone math.

@josh - thanks again for bringing this to our attention. We have this in our prioritization queue for further analysis. The event management system is a legacy piece of the system, so it will take a larger effort to fully update this. That said - it is definitely on our radar with the management team! Thanks again :- )

Absolutely agree, Josh! Thanks for adding this as a ticket. If adapting the time zone to the region is not possible, could we standardize the time zones events are listed in? That way, we could all consistently count on thinking ahead or behind, rather than having to hunt to confirm the time. Thank you for considering this.

Yep. This is a nightmare for all of us.
