@emma @sarah - Thank you for the suggestion! This is on our master list of feature requests for future discussion and consideration. We will add your request as a "vote" for prioritization. Hope this helps and have a great week!

Thank you Emma, I think this is a very good idea.

We need to celebrate our Diversity at BNI and be careful not to exclude anybody. When prospective members self register I believe they also see just the two options, and they are not required to select one, but it would be really nice if they could see an option they can use.

Great suggestion, I hope to see this implemented in the future.

I absolutely agree. Having NB friends and colleagues in industry, it would be lovely to show them that BNI is a diverse and welcoming organization.

Thank you so much for this. As a Trans/Non Binary person in BNI, I know I have struggled with the Female or Male options since I joined so I left them blank for the longest time. I say its time for an update to 2021! This is AWESOME!

In this day and age, this should be a no brainer and must be included.  All members deserve this respect and option.  Thank you

Mx. is being recognized as a non-binary honorific, and 18 US states + D.C. recognize genders or sexes other than male or female on government IDs and/or birth certificates (e.g. "intersex" on a birth certificate, or "x" for non-binary on an ID).

Also, we in Europe need this asap. In Germany, the Supreme Court of Karlsruhe has already ruled in 2017 "diverse" to be a legal option for people not fitting into "male" or "female". Although it's not punished, legally BNI is behind in Germany since 4 years, that's just sad.
