Please can we have proper web links and pages enabled for core groups
It is really helpful that chapters have their own website and corresponding link as shown in the CMS (attachment 1). This is good for generating visitors to chapters as people often search for "towname BNI" and, if properly optimised, the chapter website comes up first. An example of the link that I am referring to would be:
https://bnisurrey.com/surrey-west-woking-bni/en-GB/index
However core groups who need visitors in order to launch, do not have this feature. The link that we do have for core groups is a query link e.g.:
Google will not index this and therefore potential guests will not find this via an organic search.
Also - when a visitor is invited, the first thing they are likely to do is check out the group by searching for it. If they can't find any details, that is a drop in the 'no' bucket before they've even attended.
The core group query link that we have is canonicalised by Google to a base core group page with no detail at all:
https://bnisurrey.com/en-GB/coregroupdetail
This is indexable by default. This results in potential visitors searching for a chapter and finding a very thin and unusable page. I have now set this to de-index (thank you for the much improved CMS which allows this).
Please can we have proper web links and pages enabled for core groups?

Happy Tuesday to you! We have added "core group search optimization" to our master list of feature requests for future discussion and consideration. We will add your request as a "vote" for prioritization. Hope this helps and have a great week!

Great Idea Jonathan,
Core groups always seem a bit out in the cold not sure if they are members or not even having paid they are non members it can be confusing.

This sounds like a superb suggestion

Thanks Jeremy, appreciate you following up. Where can I find details of your master list of feature requests please?

@jonathan - the master list is not publicly available at this time. It is a rather large and complicated spreadsheet maintained by the CTO. It is largely made up of tallies of the several hundred posts in this forum though other sources have been added over time.
