@logan - Thank you so much for the constructive criticism. We are currently working on methods between BNI U and BNI Connect to synchronize more of the data to auto populate CEU's and we hope to see more progress on that soon. As for the rest, we would welcome individual suggestions for consideration. Hope this helps and have a great weekend!

Hey Jeremy,
Thanks for your reply. I would be happy to provide as much detail as you need to improve the experience. As a designer myself, I am having a hard time making sense of a lot of the decisions made across the entire Connect/BNIU system.
It seems like a massive oversight that one tracks CEUs while the other tracks “points” (which are actually minutes?) and relies so heavily on the user to convert them.
Aside from that there are several bugs and mistakes through the whole structure. As a simple example, there is a display error currently on the main BNI connect profile page which doesn’t allow the user to scroll all the way down.
Another is on BNIU I am prompted to “hover” over items from mobile devices, which can’t actually do that action.
I don’t know how to be more helpful other than to say the whole thing feels woefully unfinished.

Logan,
Thanks for the specifics!
Here is the TL:dr answer - BNIU and BNI Connect are two completely different platforms built by two completely different vendors. BNI Connect is something developed exclusively for BNI. BNI University is a third party platform (Schoox) that we subscribe to.
This accounts for most of the differences between the two - for example the Schoox system had a pre-built in "Leaderboard" that worked off of minutes long before we started using them and BNI (and therefore Connect) had the CEU system that has been around for over a decade, even before BNI Connect was developed. While we are one of Schoox's larger clients and they are very receptive to our feedback, they are an independent platform and need to keep all of their client's needs in mind.
When it comes to BNI Connect, there are lots of backstories there as well, though this isn't the right forum to do that. I would be happy to have a 121 with you to tell you all about it sometime (jeremy@bni.com) but suffice it to say that we are definitely making strides to bring the platform forward in a positive way and there is some great leadership and vision in place to make that happen.
As always, we DO listen to the feedback and welcome as much (or little) detail as you wish to provide. The CTO monitors this forum and I will be certain that it gets on the list for consideration. Although we do have finite budgets and priorities, we do our best to make the experience as good as it can be as quickly as it can be done. Thanks again and have an amazing weekend.
