Drop Down Menu for Categories

I would like to request that we have a "search" option or a drop-down menu when it comes to selecting profession and category. All major directories such as Google, Bing, Yahoo and others use a drop-down menu for selecting an industry category. 

I know many other members, including myself, find this time consuming and a little frustrating.
It would be very appreciative to have this added to the site.

  I fully support being to search the lists as finding a particular category and sub category is not easy, even being able to filter both lists to a few letters would be a major help.

  The categories are not representative of the many professions that are eligible to join. Therefore visitors could be misrepresented

  Hello just followibg up on this feature... The categories are very time consuming... So a search function would be fantastic.

  You can actually type in the category box. It will start filtering matched word.
