Need new selection key in BNI Connect profile to exclude international solicitations
One of my chapters' member, and I (among others) have been getting emails from multiple different international members from a specific country peddling their services. These come through to our email. These are unsolicited. We do not seem to receive other international member solicitations.
Is there a way of setting up a selection in our profile to be open ONLY to contact from US national members, and none from international members? I do not do business internationally. Nor do any of my chapter members. I am sure that others are being bombarded with these unsolicited solicitations.

This request is urgent and needs attention. I am now getting unsolicited cell calls from specific countries. We need to be able to block information given to countries as well.

It was only a matter of time before this cropped up as a major issue. We need to be able to have a setting within BNI Connect that restricts access to within the home country of the member, for those members that do not necessarily do business internationally. I have done a one to one with someone in another country who does business in my country. But I did that because I went to medical school in that country. That person's business is not related to mine, and she doesn't have the business relationships with people here in this country to make her a viable referral source for clients here.
That said some businesses are seeking international business referrals. That doesn't mean that unsolicited in-mail, or messages, or calls are desired from other BNI members that are looking to solicit business from us (one way and transactional). Moreover, we would never refer our clients in the US to telecom providers outside the US trying to get a foothold here. The market is far too complex, with tremendous regulatory issues and challenges so we must meet that with US providers.
A selection tab within BNI Connect is sorely needed so that members can elect to be seen outside their home country or not.
