If you turn in closed business, the person getting the closed business should get a notification.

Great to hear from you, hope all is well!
The TYFCB slips online was modeled directly inline with the official paper slips program in BNI. In the paper version, the TYFCB is an anonymous entry (for many reasons, some of them for client confidentiality).
From the BNI Slips document (http://support.bniconnect.com/entries/40561363-BNI-Slips-Program-Overview):
Note: By assigning this amount to the person who gave the referral resulting in the business, this
will preserve confidentiality of each individual’s income. In addition, this will show each member’s value as a “referral giver” to the other members of the chapter.Although a notification and\or seeing both sides of the transaction may be desired by some, it could be "illegal" for others. Most notably this could cause doctors, lawyers and other professionals to not be able to participate in the TYFCB process.
In the meantime, the best way to make another member aware is by letting them know and, if there is mutual agreement, announcing it during the "I have" portion of the meeting.
Hope this helps!

This is getting funny.....
Another pasted copy of the same answer to yet another frustrated BNI member asking for something so simple. Here’s my pasted record of what we’re all desperately needing and repeatedly asking you guys for:
I should be able to access a list of people who thanked me for closed business. If they’re going to stand up and thank me in front of everyone, why can’t I access the report on my own profile that shows me the name of the person and that they thanked me?
Doesn’t even have to say the name of the client or have a monetary amount. This is essential and needs to be added. Period.
It’s causing me a lot of headache and wasting my time trying to follow up to see who has thanked me. There have now been repeated cross chapter referrals who have forgotten to thank me. And I have to chase them down personally to find out what’s going on or to remind them. If I had a list, I could simply check it and see who. This feature needs to be added! Plain and simple. The answer above is not valid reason to omit such a needed feature and it appears that MANY of us are getting frustrated at the lack thereof.1 -
I totally agree. If they are going to speak it then it should be recorded.
When completing peer reviews or when renewing membership we are asked to confirm if referrals that we give have been put in as closed business. How are we meant to know if there is no record available to us?
