@sean - at this time you can control the alerts through your phone preferences - both iPhone and Android have this ability to turn them off. As there are currently only 4 alerts, this will be an "all or nothing" on or off. As we develop more alerts we will consider the option to enable\disable groups of alerts within the app itself, though that will be decided and prioritized for a future release.
Kindly note that this particular alert for the meeting notification was a first step that will very soon lead to a "meeting summary" note that will detail some specifics about the chapter meeting - for example how many visitors, who the speaker is, etc. So if you turn it off you may want to watch the "what's new" pop up and\or try turning them back on soon :- )

You really need to give us an option to turn off the 24 hour until your meeting reminder. When you’ve been in BNI for seven years, trust me you know exactly when your BMI meeting is having something go off at 6 o’clock in the morning the previous morning it’s really unnecessary for some of us. Please give us this option.
