Referrals to another chapter
When I search for a person (include their name surname and name of company) I get told there is no such member. When doing it for just a name I get exactly the same. I therefore can't use the app to refer across the app.

@leigh-ann - it is also worth noting that currently you can only refer to people within your home BNI region. In your case that would be members in South Africa > BNI Johannesburg North.
We hope to be able to do cross chapter within a country towards the end of the year allowing you to search for any members in South Africa, though that functionality is still under development.

Hi Leigh-Ann,
You do not need to enter the full name of member. A few characters are all you need to pull a list of names. Entering full name sometimes will not give you the result since BNI Connect may record the member's name differently, eg with middle name.
So, if I want to search for you, I would put Leigh or Ann only. Hope this helps.

As a member in Abu Dhabi I cannot do a referral for a dear friend who is in a Chapter in Dubai for a potential member for her Chapter
Yet above you state I can do in the same region. Can someone talk me thru this please0 -

The ability to refer to other regions is coming. As for referral to same region, you need to check with Regional Director to see if the feature is on. One way to check on your side is to see if there is a magnifying glass beside the chapter member list when you are entering a referral. If there isn't, the feature is turned off.
