Verify Your Chapter Selection and Choose Your Operation
- Verify your Country, Region and Chapter selection
- Click on Manage Memberships
- Click on Enter New Application
Search For Previous Memberships
Searching for previous memberships allows the recovery of a past member's previous information, such as: profile data, training history and membership history.
There is a 2 step search process to try to find a previous account. Please note that some people may change email addresses or apply with different spellings of their name (ex. Tom vs. Thomas or Maggie vs Margaret) so if someone indicates on their application that they were a previous member, be sure to try multiple times with different combinations to find them.
FIRST SEARCH: Email Address Search
Enter New Member - Screen 1
- Select the Application Date for the member. The Induction Date for the member will automatically be set as the application date. This should stay the same unless instructed otherwise by your regional office.
- Verify your Country, Region and Chapter.
- Choose an Industry (Primary Category listing) and Classification (Secondary Category listing).
- Select the initial language for the member. Be sure to select the correct language (there are multiple versions of English and many other languages) as this will affect the appearance of BNI Connect when the user logs in.
- Use the vertical scroll bar for additional application entry fields.
Enter New Member - Screen 2
- Choose a chapter member as a sponsor from the dropdown list <OR> click the Worldwide Search button to search from a sponsor from the BNI Global Directory.
- Enter the member's personal details from the application.
- The Product/Service Description should be transcribed as it was written on the application, which may differ slightly from the available category drop downs.
- VAT Reference Number is for a Value Added Tax reference. This field is commonly used in European communities. This can safely be left blank in the United States.
- Use the vertical scroll bar for additional application entry fields.
Worldwide Sponsor Search
Enter New Member - Screen 3
- Complete the member's contact details.
- Use the vertical scroll bar for additional application entry fields
Enter New Member - Final Screen
- Enter the email address for the member. Note: If "Member has no email" is selected, the automated welcome email and invitation to register on BNI Connect will NOT be sent.
- Adjust privacy settings as per the policy in your region. By default new members will be set to to be shown on public regional and chapter websites.
- Select the appropriate payment details and length of membership.
- Press Submit to finalize the application or the Close button to discard all entry and return to the previous screen.
Once the application has been entered, pending applications can be viewed by going to Operations>Chapter>Manage Memberships>View Pending Applications

Hello!
I encountered problems with the registration of a new member of the chapter. When I complete all information about member and click submit button I see an error. Maybe you can help me?

This usually happens when there is another record in the system (a former member or sometimes a voided record) that is using the email address, which must be unique in the system. If you are unable to locate the existing record, you may proceed by choosing the "member has no email" option to omit the email address temporarily. Then send us an email at support@bniconnect.com and we can locate the offending record for you.
