…Good morning, afternoon, or evening, everyone. welcome to today's session. my name is Jeremy Walsh, and we're gonna be doing the tech talks. But before we get started, as we have people jumping onto this call at a very rapid pace, wanted to remind everybody that we, are recording this webinar. yes. We are recording this webinar. So, if you, do not wish to be part of the recording, the recording also includes a, you know, synopsis of today's, presentation as well as I do share the chat… transcript as well as the full transcript of this. So if you don't wanna be included in any of that, please, opt out now and go catch the recording later, which you won't be a part of. with that, let's…just get this introed in, and we are doing our tech talks. These tech talks are an ongoing thing. Just gonna do them until I run out of things to talk about, and I have lots to talk about. So, probably not gonna happen anytime soon. but we, take some short deep dives into b and i's online technology platforms. Now what are those platforms? Well, BNI Connect is our primary platform. We have all this other stuff around it. We have the brand new my b n I dot com, which is our single sign on gateway that gives you access to everything, including BNI Connect. We also have BNI Plus, which we're talking about today, BNI Insights, BNI Academy, Ask Ivan, the leadership team hub, and the marketing hub now as well. So once you sign into there, you can access all those different platforms… By way of introduction, my name is Jeremy Walsh. I am the director of support for all of our online platforms…been doing this for a very long time. I've been involved with BNI since two thousand and two, and I've been a member of the same chapter, the BNI Wakefield chapter since two thousand two as well. so coming up on my twenty fifth year anniversary there. I also been a director consultant, area director, and since two thousand eleven, been working with headquarters to support our online platforms…I have an amazing team that backs me up. so there's myself. I live in the great state of Rhode Island here in the United States. for those of you out there who don't know where that is, it's halfway between Boston on the East Coast of the US and Manhattan, New York City. we are pretty much smack dab in the middle of those two places along the East Coast there. I also have, Riaz. Riaz has been involved with BNI in almost. For almost thirty years, and he is in Malaysia. We have Monique, who's been with the team for, I think, seven or eight years now, and she is in, Connecticut. We've got Samantha, who is in Germany. we've got Jessica in Massachusetts and Lilith in Chicago. So quite the team. They do a lot of work here, supporting over three hundred and fifty five thousand members. we get tickets in all sorts of languages, and we have an average response time of fourteen minutes on those six hundred and forty five thousand tickets that we've answered. we're gonna be playing with the b and I bird chapter today. You may get to, meet some of these fine young people, Alfred e Newman and Darth Vader, Charlie Brown. We got Minnie Mouse in there somewhere. So, we'll be playing with their chapter today as we explore BNI plus. As we like to do with every one of our BNI presentations, let's get started with our core values. What is your favorite core value out of these? We've got givers gain, building relationships, lifelong learning, traditions and innovation, positive attitude, accountability, and recognition. put your favorite into the chat window if you would like to. And my favorites, of course, I I can never pick between all of these, but, traditions and innovation, that is why we are here on these tech talks talking about that and positive attitude. you know, you can face all the challenges in life with a positive attitude, and, everything is just a little bit better…Some housekeeping. One link every Friday, about thirty ish minutes of content. we do record them. we'll get them up on on academy eventually. Right now, they're on the support site. And, if you need to ask me directly a question, make sure you put that into the questions and answers. if you just wanna do some networking… interact with other people on the call, please do that through the chat window…Alright. We have been doing this. February sixth was our first session. so, February sixth was our was our first session, and we did an intro in the my b and I, and we have been covering topics just about every week since then. member profile, search, b and I academy, weekly activity, upgrades, mobile app, mobile app visitors, visitors on the web. we've talked about BNI Connect reports, ask Ivan chapter goals, chapter websites. We went into a whole mini series on traffic lights, where we talked about all the different metrics and how to maximize your traffic lights. We talked about visiting other chapters, and then we went into our b and I plus sessions. so, we've talked about that for several weeks now. So, today, we are going to do our wrap up session of b and I plus. So we're gonna kind of just very, very quickly do a speed session on all of the previous, topics that we talked about for the last seven weeks. If you wanna go deeper into any of those topics, I recommend jumping onto the recordings. The QR code is right there in the upper corner. click on that QR code or, scan the QR code. please go and check them all out if you wanna go in-depth in any of them or reach out to us in support, and we can, yep, answer your questions there as well…Just a reminder, if you just got here, this is being recorded. If you don't wanna be part of the recording, then please jump on out now because I do provide, all of the different aspects of this, including a transcript and the chat window transcript… Alright. So as I said, we're gonna continue our sessions on b and I plus deep dive. we were originally scheduled to do seven sessions, but, actually, we did eight sessions because I snuck one in there, on a topic that needed to be covered…And today's session is putting it all together. So we're gonna take a very, very quick zooming overview of all of the things, from start to finish that we've been talking about for the past several weeks. Alright. So from preparation to follow-up, and here's the topics of today. We're gonna break this down into kind of five little chunks, getting the chapter ready, preparing the meeting, the final preflight check, running the meeting, and follow-up afterwards. But before we do that, I think, Vedika has the right answer for this. What are we gonna do next? Anybody… We can't we can't have a week…without…of course, pop quiz. We can't miss our pop quiz, can we? Alright. Let's get started with our pop quiz. Let's see what you guys know. Alright. So, as usual, please put your answer into the chat, and, let's see what you guys have for correct answers there. Okay? First question… Once you got everything set up for the first time…about how long should it usually take to prep for the weekly meeting…About how long is it gonna take to prep for the weekly meeting…I'm seeing answers all over the place. I'm seeing anywhere from…two minutes to an hour. From two minutes to an hour. I would say, and this is just my guess, and anybody that's been using b and I plus for a while, please, you know, go ahead and, you know, put a little star next to your answer or something like that or say, you know, I. It usually takes us x number of minutes, but I think it takes about ten to fifteen minutes to go through all the steps I'm gonna show you to make. Just to make sure that your meeting is prepped and you're ready to go, go live for the next day. So I think that I think that answers about ten to fifteen minutes. The…initial prep, like, if you've never used BNI plus before, right, and your chapter is gonna be using it for the first time or you're brand new in the leadership team and you just wanna go through every last thing to make sure it's exactly the way you want it to be, that's gonna take about one to two hours. Alright? So the initial setup, very first time, probably one to two hours. and I don't know if we have, Sam Spueller with us today, and he can back me up on this one. but the weekly stuff on a weekly basis, ten to fifteen minutes is my guess. Alright? So with that…next question…Who in the chapter can assist with various parts of the meeting? Which members of the chapter can…assist with various parts of the meeting. And, by the way, I see, in the chat window, both Sam and our global expert… Sean O'Hara, who's, just taken it upon himself to become a global expert in b and I plus. They both say, yeah. That's about right. One to two hours in the beginning and then maybe ten to fifteen minutes on a weekly basis. So. Alright. Going back to this one. Who in the chapter can assist with various parts of the meeting… Alright…So anybody. Right? You guys can delegate stuff out to anybody in the chapter. So there's a whole bunch of different parts of the meeting, and you can designate any person. And one of the best ways to increase…your retention for your chapter…is to get people involved in the chapter. Give them work to do that supports the chapter, and they will feel more involved in the day to day…or week to week running of the chapter. They feel more connected. They get a little bit more visibility with the members in the chapter. So make people feel good about contributing. Right? Givers gain. Right? They're giving to the chapter. They're gonna feel more connected, and they will want to stay with the chapter longer. So I, you know, I know a lot of it's about referrals, a lot of it about one to one, but some of it does come down to just inclusion, including people and building that community and getting as many people as as you can involved in that community. Alright? So the answer to that one is anyone. Alright. So third question. I don't know. This this this one is a tough one. We'll see if anybody gets it right. Alright. You ready? The last question of the BNI plus series pop quiz is… what was your favorite thing about BNI plus that you learned throughout this tech talk miniseries? Or what is your favorite feature of BNI plus…All of it. Right? The newsletter. Alright? Auto population. That is a great one. The connection around the world. How to enter that. You know, getting the numbers already brought from the… you know, from BNI Connect over. You know, streamlining the process from start to finish…Yeah. So great…Awesome. The newsletter again, connections, yeah. Awesome. So that is, that wraps up our final pop quiz for b and I plus, but let's get started with our topics for today. And, again, we're gonna try to move as fast as possible so we can cover everything. But… the first part of this is getting the chapter ready. We wanna make sure that we confirm access and leadership roles. We wanna make sure that review. We review member profiles and photos, check regional defaults and chapter settings, and assign helpers and clear responsibility. So how do we do this? Well, first things first. Before we do anything else, we actually need to get logged in. So…let me go ahead and get logged in. I'm gonna log in as my good friend, Alfred e Newman… and we're gonna log in. And this is what. Now Alfred e Newman's chapter has already been set up. Alfred e Newman's been using this for the bird chapter for a while. So we're basically gonna run through the, basically…checklist of things to check, before a meeting gets started. So let me get into my BNI plus EMEA. It's gonna do our single sign in and log us all in… And I'm gonna log in to my BNI BRRRR chapter. Alright. So, really, one of the one of the…main things that you need to do, when you are confirming this meeting is you want to, you know, make sure that everybody's there, and you want to check, the various settings. Right? So…to do that, make sure everybody's there. Make sure you check their profiles. The place to go and check that, go check your chapter roles. Alright? First thing, go check your chapter roles. Give this a brief overview. This is gonna show you and make sure everybody's in the right position. Right? So you got your president, vice president, secretary, treasurer. Just review this real quick. You cannot change anything on this screen. Alright? You can't change anything on the screen because this all comes from b and I connect. If there is an error on here, if the. If there's a missing visitor host, if the education coordinator isn't listed, please go and speak with your director consultant or your chapter support director or your area director. They can make the changes in BNI Connect in order for this to flow over. And anybody remember how long does it take for it to get from BNI Connect to BNI Plus? Anybody… One hour. It is one hour. Okay? So about one hour, it will come over and be live here. So don't do this five minutes before the meeting. If you need to fix something, make sure that we fix it the night before. Alright? And just keep in mind, there are more positions down here. It says items for page ten. You can either click over the next page or change this to, like, twenty five, and you will see everything on one page. Okay? So that is, checking that. Now you also wanna check your members. Make sure that your members are all there. Otherwise, they're not gonna get a presentation during the meeting. Right? So go check our members. Here's our list of members. Again, I have forty eight members in the chapter. It's only showing ten at a time, but I can click on fifty and then see everybody listed there. And all you need to do to check your members is click on them. So what you wanna do real quick is click on them. You can look at their profile and… check to see if they have put up a profile photo. If not, when it gets to their slide, it's gonna be empty. Right? So you wanna make sure that they have their profile filled out. Right now, you can either go back or you can actually just step through these. Right? So click next. Oh, look. Albert Camus. He has his photo and his logo uploaded. Aldo does not. Alfred e Newman, of course, does. Amanda does not. So very quickly, you can go through and check which people have their profiles filled out and which people don't. And you may wanna reach out to those people that don't so that when they get to their, meetings. When when they get to their their weekly presentations, they won't…be surprised that their picture isn't showing up. Alright. The other thing we just wanna review is check your chapter settings. And chapter settings is important to check because there are some other things in here, that are important. Make sure that your meeting time and your, timers for all your presentations and your weekly presentations and all of that are set to be the right things. Make sure that your assignments for people that are responsible for certain sections are all done. The. This controls who gets the notifications as well, for. Yeah. Remember to do the newsletter. Hey. Remember to upload the educational moment. Hey. Remember to do this. All of those, happen. Alright? And you also set up your newsletter receivers… Now one thing you may wanna do before the meeting as well is if you see anything missing, so you can resend those notifications to these people. Right? So as long as you have people assigned to these different sections, you can resend the notifications to them if they haven't done their job yet. Right? So you do that by going to admin…and go to notifications. And these are all of the notifications that go out from… BNI plus. So with that, if you need to remind somebody that they have not yet, you know, manage the power teams or set the featured presenters or, you know, done the visitor follow-up, you know, whatever it is, you can…go ahead and click on the checkbox. And then down below, click send now. And it will say, hey. We just sent that email out. Now if you can't send the email, right, so for example, set closing quote, I can't send that notification because I have not set up somebody to handle that part of it. And that's where this. We need to make sure we assign our helpers to all of these different sections. Alright. Now with the other place to assign helpers, there's two other places. We have the home screen. So we can go in, for example, this is where we would check, all of our other settings. This actually brings us a little bit into our next slide… which is we want to make sure that we're reviewing all of the other things for the meeting as well. And that's gonna be reviewing the agenda, reviewing the script, making sure that they have speakers set up and that there's presentation files uploaded by those speakers. we wanna make sure that the visitors are properly synced over from Connect or that we've entered them in. Make sure that the stats have been uploaded, and we can make sure that there are events uploaded…Alright. Now, again, most of this stuff is done through the home screen. for example, we have the, yep, speakers. Right? So if we go into the various sections, this is where we assign those helpers. Right? So let's say that we have somebody helping us with the education moment. Well, what we need to do is in this section of the agenda, we're gonna click on that, and we are gonna click our helper. So who's gonna help us with our education moment? And going back to our quiz, we can choose anybody in the chapter that we want to. So if, doctor who is going to be helping us, and you can assign multiple people. So doctor who and the Incredible Hulk are going to tag team our education moment. Once I put them in there, now they will get the reminders to make sure they can upload things if they wanna upload a presentation, and they can also control that part of the meeting using the controller…Once you have assigned somebody, you can see that there's a little red head on that section. Right? So you don't even need to click into it at that point. You can just click on the red. You can just hover over the little red head, and it will show you section prepared by doctor who and the Incredible Hulk. Right… If you now click on the red head, it will show you, well, we don't have anything uploaded. If you would like to, you can upload something from here. Or as I said, you can go and send the reminder in order to tell them to go and upload their section. Right? So this is all part of that preparation part. So if I go to admin, right, notifications, now that I have a… network education. Right? So I assigned helpers here, network education, Incredible Hulk, and doctor who. I can now send a reminder to them to upload a presentation for the education moment…Right…Right. We do also wanna. While we're in there, we wanna make sure that we are reviewing the agenda and the meeting script. So to do that, we click on meeting agenda, and this is where we can review all of our slides. So if we want to check to make sure slides are working on an individual basis, we can click on them. For example, the introduce visitors… We can either look at the outline or click preview, and it should show us our visitors for the day. And we have one visitor listed…Right? So make sure that you have. You also want to either enable or disable certain slides that you may or may not wanna use during the meeting. for example, if you are a hybrid meeting, that meets in person one week and then online three other weeks, you may have different slides that you wanna use or not use depending on whether you're an in person or online meeting that week. For example, disclaimer not recording… Right? And check connection. You may wanna hide those slides when you are on an in person week so that you don't have to come up across them in the agenda…Alright. And here's where you would also add any additional slides that you would want to do, on just a one week basis…Alright. So, and here you also wanna just go through each one of these sections quickly, to make sure that you have what you want in there. So for example, make sure we click on section speakers. We have our section speaker for networking education set up. We don't have any other ones right now. Go back home. Click on the next one. Recognition. Here are all the people that we're gonna recognize. These are the different people that are gonna come up on the member recognition slides. Now the recognition slides, remember, are different than the chapter statistics. The chapter statistics pull automatically from our BNI Connect POMS reports. However, recognition for the person that did the most one to ones or the most referrals or the most visitors, those you put in manually, so that you can recognize people at your discretion, not just, you know, based on the numbers…Alright. Just, again, reviewing these, closing quote. Make sure there is a closing quote set. Right. There is a closing quote set…Go back home. And, again, just clicking through each one of these, checking, making sure you have your meeting set up the way that you want it to go. Events, core values, power teams, all of that… Alright. So as I said, we're going lightning fast today. If you want more details on any of these, go check out one of the previous sessions or send in a ticket to support, and we'll be happy to help. Alright. So…the last thing we wanna do, now that we've made sure that all of our sections are complete, we wanna make sure that we do one quick last preflight check. And we do that by running a test meeting. Okay? So to run a test meeting, there's two different ways that you can do this. Alright? You can either just run the test meeting. Alright? So there's. Under the deliver section, there is the test meeting… This puts everything in one screen. Right? So it puts all three things. It puts the slide selection. It puts the script, and then it puts the slide. Now you can resize these, by the way. I don't know if everybody knows that, but each one of these columns can be resized… And here, you can click through this as if it was a meeting. You can look at the, yep, network education, all the people assigned. You can do the, network education moment. You can show. Choose which person is going to do it…When we get to the, member presentations, we can check…Make sure. Here's another place where you can see who has a picture signed up. And as we shot. Saw before, some people do and some people don't… You wanna make sure that you also check the feature presentations as one of these slides. you can check the vice president's report. And, again, here's where our regional performance. This comes from the region. Anybody that's on, the regional team, the…regional admin, the executive director, area directors, you guys gotta make sure that your regional settings and key values are set up. The chapter performance values, these ones come from our POMS report. You don't have to do anything for the chapter performance numbers. This slide as well, you don't have to do anything for these ones to show up. They are automatic… Alright. And, again, feature speakers. You can actually run their slideshow and make sure that their slideshow is working properly…Alright…So, again, go through the rest of this. you can click on every slide. Make sure that all the slides are working. there's, my closing quote that I uploaded. That is, by the way, that is one of my favorite closing quotes. if a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing badly, because until you can learn to do it better. Because that's how we do learn to do things better. Right? You. It's okay to do it wrong the first time. We all are, I think a lot of us are obsessed with perfection, and we wanna jump in and do it absolutely perfectly like an expert the very first time. But, you know, it takes, like, ten thousand hours to become an expert in something. But everybody's gotta start by doing it poorly at first. There's very few savants out there at things that you just pick up a violin and you're playing Bach on your first time. Right? No. It takes a while. You gotta learn your scales. You gotta learn, you know, how to play, you know, Mississippi hot dog. Right? So, I personally love this quote. Get started. Do it now. Alright. So with that, there is a second way to do this. You can actually just run a a meeting by running the presentation screen. Right? And then also, yeah, you can move that off to the side or whatever… Now my screens are all messed up…Man…you can run the presentation screen over there, then you can run the, the meeting controller as well or take out your cell phone, and you can do that from your cell phone as well…Right? So now I have the meeting screen here on one side…And then I've got the controller over here. It's hard to do this with one screen. Right? So same thing. You can test this, make sure it's working, and the slides show up correctly. But the final thing you wanna do is…if you are meeting online especially… or you're meeting in a place that has an iffy Internet connection, I always recommend downloading the offline meeting. Right? The offline meeting, if you want to download both formats. The difference is the offline meeting, the HTML is an interactive click through, almost the same way the controller works. A PDF is just a flat file that you would just step through each page. Right? So I'm gonna go ahead and click HTML and click generate. Then you got to, just wait about…fifteen seconds to thirty seconds to a minute. Go back in, click offline meeting again, and it's already ready. Click download HTML. And now I have my offline meeting file. And, again, it works just like the controller. It's just that you are now running this offline. I highly recommend…before every single meeting that you down. Whoever's running the meeting, download this HTML file or the PDF file so that if if…the Internet goes out… whatever, you can just jump right onto this file and run the rest of your meeting. Alright? So … Awesome. So that's it. make sure that everybody that is, gonna be presenting during that meeting knows how to do it. They know how to get into the, you know, get into the controller if they're gonna be doing the controller. If not, whoever's running the rest of the meeting can still just click through everything and do it. So not a problem… Alright. And finally, two last things. running the meeting, just make sure. couple of things that you have to make sure you do before the meeting and right as you're running the meeting. Right? You have to make sure that you, just before you start it, go into the attendance console. And you wanna make sure that you mark everybody present. Right? These are gonna show as registered to start, especially if they came over from BNI Connect. Make sure that you mark all of these people present. And if anybody showed up without registering, you don't have time to put them in Beehive Connect because the meeting is starting in five minutes. Go ahead and click new. Add in, unregned Vizzy … Right. Put in all their information … Now this will not. It absolutely will not sync back over to b and I connect. It will not sync back to b and I connect. B and I connect sync is a one way street. It comes from b and I connect over here. Nothing goes back. Alright? So, if you put a visitor here at the last minute, they'll get a slide, and that's good. However, it will not send that information back to the visitor portal. You'll have to do double entry at that point and enter them in on BNI Connect. But if you put them in, then they will get a slide and be able to present during that portion of the meeting… And by the way, just a reminder…by default…a visitor gets their own slide in the visitor section…A guest and a substitute do not. Right? So a guest is considered an observer of the meeting. They're just there to watch. Alright? Now this could be a member of another chapter. This could be a, yep, your mom that has come to visit the meeting or your spouse or something like that. They're just there to sit in on the meeting. They're considered an observer. A visitor gets their own slide. A substitute speaks in…the spot of the member. They don't get a visitor slide. Right? They only speak into. In the… as as the, I'm sorry, as the, as the member that they're summing for. Now there are some regions that have made their own slides for that, but…by default, a visitor does not get their own slide. And I think Sean might have just made a correction, said that guests do get their own slide. so, yes, guests can be set up so that they are also get set up during the, visitor section. So…thank you for, for calling that out. Appreciate it… Alright. So, you know, with that…again, make sure you confirm that attendance. You're gonna welcome the visitors, manage the introductions, you know, the hand off to the, you know, various presenters. Make sure that they're prepared to get their, slides in order and be able to jump in and take control at that time of the meeting. and if you need to, you can make on the fly adjustments. for example, if you are, you know, in the member section… Right? Member weekly presentations…And…by default, everybody showing up as present. If you…quickly do a scan around the room, you can mark off the people that are not there, and they won't have their slides show up during that part of the meeting. so it's, very easy to make, certain adjustments on the fly. And, of course, the…Yep. Just this the way the slides are themselves, you don't have to do every single slide. You can jump around and do a different… slide. Right? So as part of this, you don't have to do every single slide in the vice president's report. Yep. This week, you can just do chapter performance number. the other ones, you can do during…a different week… and Sean does bring up another good point there. Thank you, Sean. During the members' weekly, presentations, the sub will show up, on the slide. I don't know. I don't remember who I have my sub in for today in this one, but, yes, the sub will…the sub can appear on that slide. So there's so much that you can do with the system that I definitely can't cover, just in today's section. So. But thank you for that again, Sean… Alright. So … Alright. Bringing us back to this. so, again, make changes on the fly as needed. And now when the meeting's over. Right? So, now the meeting's over, you have some follow-up opportunities. The most important one of these, and I think almost everybody's favorite feature, is the. Make sure the newsletter. Go in and prepare that newsletter while it's still fresh. It's really important to do the newsletter as quickly as possible because it also thanks the visitors. You're sending this newsletter out to members and visitors. So, it's great to be able to send that out right away. So let's take a quick look at that… Right. So the newsletter. Right? Make sure you go into newsletter, whoever's doing the newsletter portion of it, and we go to meeting newsletter. And here we can prepare our newsletter. Did you know that you can actually pre prepare, your newsletter for the upcoming meeting? So I can start prepping my newsletter for next week if I want to, or I can do the one for the meeting that just ended. you can only work on those two newsletters. I can't go back three weeks in time, and I can't go back. Go forward, you know, six or seven weeks. So last week, this week, And here's where you can add all of your own touches into it. you can thank your visitors… You can put your chapter contact information in there. You can include regional events there. And when you're ready, preview it. This is what the newsletter is gonna look like when it gets sent out … Back. if you don't like it, make some changes. If you don't like the way it looks or you want something different in it, click set news layer let out. Layout, and you can start. You know, move stuff around. Let's say that you also want to have substitutes recognized, and you also wanna have guests recognized, and you wanna see the top performers. We can put that in there too. Right? So all of the, the different blocks you can put in there, and you can…move them around if you want to so they are in a different place in the newsletter. How you would like it, click okay. Test it. Send it to yourself so you know what it looks like … Nope. Doesn't like that one … There we go. Send a test newsletter to myself so I can see what that looks like. Let's go check it out … Right. So this is what it will look like in my email…Right. You can, of course, always click preview to see what it looks like on screen…And when you're ready, click send newsletter. Choose who you wanna send it to, and click okay and send that newsletter on out. So a great way to do some follow-up. And and… yep, keep your chapter in the loop. Again, this is one of those things. This is one of the hidden gems that builds chapter community. It builds chapter community, so it keeps everybody informed, keeps everybody on the same page in a nice easy to manage way…Alright. So that's it. yep. Make sure that you refresh your events as you're preparing for the next meeting, and… you're good to go. You have done your BNI plus week. So, I mean, that. Basically, it's, you know, three steps. Right? Prepare for the meeting, which should take. I mean, I just did this whole thing in, you know, about twenty minutes of talking. but once you get the hang of it, I mean, you're looking at, you know, fifteen minutes tops. Ten to fifteen minutes to go and get that meeting prepared. Present the meeting. After your first couple of meetings, it will become old hat. You'll get used to clicking all the different places and then follow-up. make sure you get that newsletter out and, follow-up with next week's presenter. And if you're gonna be switching between, different, people helping with the meeting, make sure that you get those. And just remember that great meetings start with preparation and finish with follow through… Alright. We are about forty minutes past the hour, or I guess that's…ten minutes past the hour in India, and we need, to do some questions and answers. so for those of you that aren't gonna stick around for questions and answers, I would just like to say, thank you guys so much for being here. And, again, if you need to, jump out of this right away, thank you for being here, and we will be back next week, with another topic…I truly appreciate you taking time out of your day, in order to learn more about all of this. So I'm not I'm not exiting yet. I still got twenty minutes. So I'm gonna jump over to questions and answers. but, again, for those of you that need to leave right away, thanks again. Alright. So q and a. Q and a, looks like we we have a lot of questions. And, by the way, thank you. I've I've got some helpers out there that I just wanna recognize. Richard Isom is back in the house. Thank you so much. he hasn't been here for a couple of weeks due to leadership team training. Richard has answered some questions for us as well as my good friend, Sam Spuler, who has answered some questions as well. But I'm gonna go through and answer all the questions even if they've already been answered…So let's see what we got here. Nazir said, can you talk about BNI plus today? Mission accomplished. We have talked about BNI plus. However…I I have I have a confession to make. I don't know what I'm going to talk about next week because we've run out of b and I plus topics… Anybody have any ideas? I was thinking of either doing the new LT Hub…or the, the new marketing site…Anybody? And…shoot some ideas. and then, you know, we we still. We didn't do a deep dive of BNI Academy yet, so that'll be another miniseries. So maybe I'll I'll start that after, global convention. I'll start that other miniseries. So, and Karen says talk about customizing slides in plus. I did. go back to the recordings just a couple of weeks ago. Alright…Thank you for dropping the recording links up there, and I'll drop that into the chat window right now as well…There is the links to the recordings. Alright. let's see. AC says, will directors who oversee multiple regions or franchise use the same login for all of them or we need separate logins? So however many logins you have for BNI Connect, they are your same logins…for all of our platforms. Right? You don't need separate logins anymore for anything. And, yep. It. So if you log in to BNI Connect and you have access to three regions, you'll have access to those same three regions as long as you go through…my b n I dot com, click into BNI Plus, and you should have the same access as you do, in BNI Connect. Same thing goes for BNI insights. Same thing goes for all of our platforms… Right now you can get to everything…through my b and I dot com…except the mobile app. The BNI Connect mobile app, you do have. Download that and log it in. Into that separately…Ernesto says, I'm assuming there's a training on BNI plus. again, go take a look at the, tech talks for the last several weeks. There's also additional training on the BNI support website. So if you go to… Well, first of all, if if you're in BNI plus, just click the question mark. Click on help documentation, and this will take you to all of the various articles…on BNI plus. And that. I should actually throw a shortcut into there, or. Anyway, I'm talking to myself. I think I'll put the, tech talks in here as well for these, for these sessions… You can also click on…submit a request. And if you click on submit a request, this will submit a request to my team, and we will be happy to answer those requests … Alright. Let's see. Allison says I was brought into the leadership team. Is the leadership training and b and I Academy the only training I need to complete? So that is, a question for your executive director or managing director or area director. you know, some people require in person training as well as online training… So…I I can't answer that, question. please check with your, director…AC says…if a director oversees multiple regions, or franchises, can one be designated as the master region so the change, to its configuration automatically applies to others? So, yes, you can do that. so, I don't. I honestly. I don't know if you have access to do it, though. we may have to do it in support, but the answer to that is that, yes, you can… And if I go out to and log in…as the country, and I go into the…settings for a region. Right? So here's my, BNI director's region…And. Right. So ALF does not have permission. But if I go into the settings, there is one here that says region template. And this is where I can set another region's template to be the master for this region. Right… I could if I want to. If I just wanna do a one time override, say, you know what? My chapters in this region have completely messed everything up. I need to reset everything, I could do a one time copy and say, okay. I wanna take the Shiver region, and I wanna copy all of these things and overwrite my BNI directors region with everything from the Shiver region. That would reset all of those things, the agenda, the script, and the key values. However, if you just wanna do everything once…for. If you manage, let's say, three, four, five, six regions, you can do that. But, again… oh, actually, ALF does have access to do this. I can say that I want directors to use the Shiver region … Right? And…now the BNI directors is using the Shiver region as the master region. So anytime a change gets made in the Shiver region to the agenda, the script, the things like that, it will…update…for all of the regions that are using it as the master region…Alright. Hopefully, that helps…Are there access levels in BNI Connect? Yes. There are there are something like seventy eight different permissions, at the chapter level and another hundred and something at the regional level. so, yes, there are many access levels in BNI Connect… So, Jen says, what types of files are supported? So, basically, anything Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, Apple, and most major image files. So, keep in mind. And the most important thing is that when you're uploading a file, let's say it's a PowerPoint, it gets flattened, meaning transitions will not work. animations don't work. You know, if you say, you know, bullet points that go one, two, three, four, five, you know, they go in order, those won't work. It's just. Basically, it'll flatten it into a picture of each slide… AC says, how do we enable offline mode in BNI plus? I answered that one. excellent. when is BNI plus gonna be introduced in India? Sam Sam answered this one. There are a hundred and fifty chapters already using it. there is an expansion, throughout the fourth quarter, so reach out to your executive director to learn more… who can access BNI Plus? basically…anybody can access their profile, and then the leadership team by default, president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, they can all access the full version, which is what I've been showing today…And, again, the best place to do that, my d n I dot com…Let's see. Todd says, when I assign…a regional team member as a featured speaker for a chapter, I cannot send the notification as it will say no future speaker assigned. It all works correct if we choose a member. I. That's the first I'm hearing of that one. let me. I'm gonna have to to start a ticket on that one and do a little bit more research on it. or, Sam, if you can make a note of that one, and maybe we need to, check with Antonio on on that if it's a bug, please, and thank you… Alright. Let's see. CEU points. Give yourself a CEU if you would, please. go back to my VNI. Click on VNI Connect or open up your mobile app… On the home page…under CEUs, click on submit. Give yourself one, count it, one credit for today. One one hour credit…And I've got myself a CEU … Let's see. Where do we find BNI plus? Again, my b n I dot com is where you find BNI plus. Is it possible to assign Education Moments to a different member, so that they can upload themselves? So. Yes. Absolutely. that is where you assign the helper. So you go to the agenda. Right? So you go to the agenda, and that is where you can assign, different people to do the education moment. Oops. I lost my slide there… And let me get back…to here. Right? So, if I go to BNI plus, again, the place to assign your helpers. Let me get back to the Shiver region. Let me get back to my chapter…Place to assign my my helpers is primarily go to meetings, agenda…And under the section, for example, networking education, click on the word networking education…Which people are gonna be responsible? These are your helpers. You can assign your helpers there … Alright…Let's see what else we have … Let's see. Now that the new roles are in the chapters, can the leadership team make corrections changes, or does that go through the region? so, again, new roles, it depends what kind of corrections you're talking about. So corrections to the roster, to the, you know, who's in the chapter, new people that aren't showing up, people that, are there that should have been dropped already. Those changes usually go through your regional office. same thing for, oh, you know, John's supposed to be the education coordinator, but he's not listed as the education coordinator. Again, those have to go through your regional office. But once you have the, the assignments, if. Once you're on the leadership team, you can make adjustments to the agenda, to add new slides, and all that type of thing … let's see. I think that's it. That was the last question…Alright. So with that, guys, thank you so much. Thank you for being here. Thank you for, making, making this a part of your week. I know we have some people that have been here, like, every week since February. My goodness. Thank you. Thank you for, supporting this. And if you guys had a good time today, please let your other people know in your chapter that we're doing this every week. I'd love to have even more people on the call with us. Some great networking happening in the chat window, and hopefully, you guys take home a little nugget of information, from today. So with that, again, we'll be back next week, with the. With with another topic. again, I don't know exactly what I'm gonna talk about next week yet. still putting all that together, but, we're gonna talk about something. So it'll be a surprise…I hope you guys have an absolutely fantastic, wonderful weekend. get get some networking done. And as always…happy connecting. See you guys …
